NPower - can I switch?

I used USwitch to change my gas and elecric supplier 3 months ago. The cheapest was NPower at 31.50 for elec and 33.00 for gas a month. Now they have changed monthly payments to 42.50 and 54.00. This seems huge increase in such a short time, especially when they had all my meter readings for last year before giving me original prices.
My question is does anyone know if there is a timescale that you have to stay with a supplier before switching again?
Thanks

No there is no tie in period.
If you just put down how much you pay on a DD, they will all say they are cheaper and then after a while put the dd payment up.
Don't forget the sole objective is to get you to change supplier and so they get their commission.
The only way to work out the cheapest supplier is to look at the tariffs for your area and to know how much gas/electricity you use in kWh.0
