in Credit cards
hi my other half is currently in a dmp with payplan just wondering if it'd be poss for her to get a credit card to kinda try and boost credit rating for when she finishplan in approx 2 years,, was thinking it would be good for her to get a sub prime card and use it just for petrol and pay it off in full each month any thoughts welcome

Its against the terms of her DMP to get any new credit (even a card that she intends to pay off in full each month). If her existing creditors saw a new application then it could put the DMP at risk.
How long has she been in the DMP? how old are the defaults on her credit file?
Maybe 6months before the end of the DMP she could risk applying for a credit builder prepaid card? This isn't strictly a credit product but would help her improve her file slightly to improve her chances of a subprime card when she finishes the DMP.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
I agree with tixy, it is against the terms to take on extra credit. I really wouldnt risk it.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
