Hi i dont know if anyone can help this is quite hard to write i recently lost my 25 year old son in an accident , he had an additions plus account because of the accidental death cover , now i went into the bank today to let them know and close the account and put in a claim to cover funeral expenses and was informed accidental death cover was taken off in 2009 and they no longer sell additions plus accounts , to my knowledge he was never notified of this and still payed the £16 a month up until his death , this is a hard enough time as it is without this crap , can anyone shed some light ....... thanks

My sympathy for your loss.
Looking at the Additions Plus information which is currently available on the website, there is certainly no mention of accidental death cover in the 'features & benefits' shown.0 -
I believe the additions plus account used to cover for £7500 accidental death however it seems they removed this a few years ago.
The last mention of it was in November 2008 - See below
