Independant Mortgage Advice Required

Hi there,
A few years ago I remortgaged my home to buy another property, which is currently on rent.
However, I'm not feeling comfortable with my home being mortgaged and owning the rental house out right.
I want to clear the mortgage on my home and have a buy to let mortgage on the property.
I'd like to get some independant mortgage advice and wondered if there was any governing body out there whom I can speak to and review my options?
Thanks,
Simmms

That answer is in your question, you need to speak to an Independent Financial Advisor, a governing body won't help.
If you have never used one before, get some reccommendations from family/friends that have used one that is good, and you can then review your best options0 -
It's no big deal is it? Just mortgage up the renter and use the money to pay off the liver. Go see an IFA.0

It's worth bearing in mind the OP previously got regulated advice (hopefully) and he won't get that on a BTL.
Important to select an adviser who is regulated as he/she is likely to do things the same way for both. I know I do, with the exception of a ToB instead of an IDD.I am a mortgage broker.
