Im attempting to build my own business website, but I'm new to HTML etc and am struggling to work with paypals button system. I have been looking into Zencart, but before i commit does anyone have any experience of using this software, or recommend one like it?

also consider prestashop for a full storefront software0

Zencart is OK; originally based on OSCommerce which a lot web shops are set up with.
Nowadays I guess most people would recommend Magento instead as it's newer and fancier
I've used all the above at one point or another and they all do they job fine.
If you're new to HTML though, you might be better off with a fully hosted solution rather than any of the above as they all require some technical knowledge to install and maintain, not to mention customise.
Maybe something like https://www.shopify.com/ (I've not used this and not sure if they operate in the UK, but something along those lines).0 -
I would recommed cs-cart..

I was a complete novice and used tomatocart. Most host control panels include it now. It was everything you need including shop front. Has integration for all major payments already.
Again, based on OSCommerce.0 -
Try Fatfree cart, mentioned on this great site
Ali also has a Youtube tutorial all about it ... looks pretty easy
