Hi, we're off to Lapland soon and I need to stock up on film for my camera. What film speed would people recommend bearing in mind there is not really any proper daylight there during the winter?
I normally use ISO 200 which would be fine indoors with flash, but would I be better off using ISO 400 as the flash won't be much use for landscapes etc. ?

It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

For low light levels ISO 400 will be better, but remember that there will be an increase in grain in the photos.Charlie0

Kodak Elite Colour 400 has very fine grain and it is probably worth trying a roll before you go to Lapland. You could also try Fuji Superia 800 but it could be grainy. If you have a monopod you could use it with ISO400 film instead. Are you using an SLR though??0

yep, that's why I need film, my digital camera is OK but it's not as good as my old film SLR. Really I'm debating between my normal ISO200 and ISO400, as I'll be using it indoors and outdoors I'm not sure which to use. I may try ISO400 as we'll probably take the digital camera as well. It's my problem, it's my problem

Try a roll of Elite Colour 400 as I was quite impressed by the grain!! I would personally take ISO400 as the extra speed is worth it in dull conditions.0
