well i ordered on Nov 25th and received the despatch email on Wed.
  • Just arrived about an hour ago so I can't say that I've read every word just yet.

Martin was asking for feedback, so -

The way I can best sum up how I feel about the book is it to imagine that it's about 3 years ago when I hadn't heard of Martin Lewis, MSE or Old Style and just found it on the shelves of WH Smith or whatever. I would have happily bought the book, read it voraciously, refered to it often and enjoyed it thoroughly - then found Old Style and joined in.
It's a bit like a small scale Tightwad Gazette in so far as there a snippets of 'real life' in there but better still the tips are not just from one family with one attitude to living, it's broader than that.

I think that we shouldn't forget MSE Sue who knitted it all together and did a great job :T :T

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Got it! :j

It was on the mat when I got in. Looks good and like a suitable gift for most people, wish it had been available years ago when dd and ds were younger! Big surprise one of my recipes was in it!:o

The book covers a good wide spread of topics, which should appeal to lots of people. Personally I would have loved to see more recipes (but that's cos I am addicted to recipe books!:D ) Great to see sections on gardening and recycling as well though.

It will be very quiet on here when all the books turn up!;)
Well done Sue and Martin :T

Got mine today! (got the email saying it had been posted on Wednesday)

looks fab -really clearly laid out and looks like a brilliant present , especially for people who don't have internet access.

Even if you do it's nice to have all that stuff gathered together in a portable form

not sure about the cover though.....
