Settled loans and PPI

Hi, In light of the recent news regarding PPI payments oh and I have decided to look at what we may have paid.
However, we have loans that have since been paid off, and I cannot find the credit agreement, only letters regarding account numbers etc, how would I go about finding out if we did have PPI on these loans? My memory is not very good.
Can we send off for a copy of the original credit agreement even when a loan has been settled?
Many thanks

if i were you i would post this is the ppi reclaiming section http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=169.
I believe it makes no difference if the loan is paid off or is active
you are in a good posistion as you have the account numbers
