Lay Z spa - cheapest chemicals to use

Hi all
we have just bought a lay z spa yesterday and I was wondering if anyone could answer my questions?

what chemicals you use to keep it clean? and where is the cheapest place to buy them?
how often do you clean the filters or put the chemicals in?

how exactly do you do both of these things?

TIA niki

I use non chlorine shock weekly or immediately after heavy use to shock oxidise impurities. For regular sanitation i use 20gm chlorine tablets in the chemical floater. Some ph up/minus may be needed aswell as chlorine tabs and shock is quite acidic. I've found the cheapest is eBay, around £4 for 10 Chlorine tabs and £7.99 for 1kg of non chlorine shock.

    Happy Spa-ing!
