Hi.
I've bought tickets to Channel 4 Comedy Gala on 24th May for my daughter's birthday via Ticketmaster. I saw in the Terms and Conditions that the credit card used would be needed as ID at entry so I was going to lend my card to her on the day. However, I've just been asked to go away on a course for work for a couple of days, so I won't be able to do this now.
Will this be a problem? I was thinking maybe if she took her birth certificate (which will show my name) that would do instead?
Thanks

Never been asked to show ID, only tickets. I'm guessing it would likely be cases of suspected fraudulent tickets or age-restricted events where they might pull you aside to ask for extra ID.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

There is no restrictions for tickets at this event. The ID checks are only for specific events (Michael McIntyre, Miley Cyrus, etc)
Its got nothing to do with fraud. The ID checks MAY be asked for the people attending if they look less than 16 AND are not accompanied by an adult. As per the terms of entrance

You won't be asked for extra ID to be pulled aside if the holders look older than 16.
With 20K people going to events like this, the last thing they will be doing is checking ID. I wouldn't worry about it0 -
Went to see Beyonce in 2009 with 17 others, and we weren't asked for ID.That's my mutt in the picture above.0

Thanks everyone. I'll just send her with the email confirmation.
Anyone know what time it's likely to finish, as they'll need to get the tube and a train home (or south to her dads)?

Most shows tend to finish around 10.20pm but bear in mind the arena entrance/exit is right round the far end of the O2 so she'll need to allow a good 15-20mins to actually get back to the tube station, then queueing time to board.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
