My Bank Loan ended in April 2005 with PPI. Is it worth me logging a claim?
With the latest ruling on the PPI im thinking i might as well put my case forward and see what happens.
I know as it was over 6 years ago so my chances are reduced, however although i have no written proof i remember the details quite vividly.
I applied for a loan with HBOS for £5000 for my first car. When i applied the total repaid would have been £5950 over 3 years. This was circa April 2002.
I got rejected for the loan but was invited to speak to the bank manager about the rejection.
At that stage in her words may i add "she was going against her better judgement but she would approve the loan with insurance"
I needed the car so agreed to the deal paying back £216.19 a month over 3 years.
A total payable of £7782.84 for £5000 loan.
A whopping £2782.84 in interest and PPI.
The best part is, the reason she was against it was because after a 4 year apprenticeship and despite the fact my company had taken me on full time she didn't feel my job was secure.
Now almost 9 years later since i sat in her office im with the same company doing the same job:mad:
So in closing do i have a good case here?
Any help would be appreciated on how to go about this.
Cheers.
