External Drive not showing on explorer

Guys,
I wonder if you can help. I have Lacie external drive which I use as additional, until yestrday I've not had any problems with it. But it is not showing up on explorer as a drive, hence I can't access the drive. It's not showing in disk manager either.
Appreciate any help and advice

No I haven't, I will do so tonight when I get in from work0

Is it USB..If so could be an issued withthe usb drivers, if so then turn off the pc, disconnect the mains lead completely and wait 10 or 15 mins to clear the power and reconnect....

It is a USB connection. All my other USB devices work including another external drive, I've tried using different USB ports and that hasn't helped. But I will try disconnecting power and see if that helps, thank you.0
