At least you have learned something useful from the episodesorry for the delay in updating this. After complaining some more to the insurance company, they at least lifted the fee for Wrights collecting the car. Still wouldn't pay out for the damage. In the end, Renault ended up fixing the car for free. They were not too pleased with the insurance company trying to blame a bad batch of cars/models as a known fault. Needless to say, wont be using Budget again!!! Thanks to all who posted.

There was a case in a local paper involving these for a similar incident, the claim was for £3000 and they ended up having to pay £17000 with legal costs and got a severe whooping in court.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
