Mixer shower dilemma

Hi, I have entered the minefield of mixer showers and need help!! Bascially, I am after a thermostatic mixer shower with a diverter. I was recommended a company called Ergonomic Designs and had set my heart on that one. However, just had a plumber in who said don't buy it as you will need to buy a Mira or one of several other extremely expensive brands. has anybody any expereince with Ergonmic Designs or any advice on mid priced showers please?

No knowlegde of Ergonomic Designs but I can reccomend Aqualisa. Not cheap but excellent. Wickes also do one as part of their range and a friend has one and is delighted with it, I dare say it was considerably cheaper than the Aqualisa I bought.0

Thanks for that, yes I've looked at them and can't quite stretch that far. I'm looking at Hudson Reed, Triton and Bristan - any opinions on them please?0

Don't know how good this is but as I've not managed to find any adverse reviews of Hudson Reed, I've gone for it (ordered today):

Thanks for replies, much appreciated. Have decided on Bristan Oval Model No: OL SHXDIVFF C.
I have a combi boiler - anyone know if this will be OK without a pump?0 -
You wont need a pump if you have a combi but you do have to get the hot & cold pipes to the shower. Not Again0
