Dishwasher

I have a dishwasher that has recently not been very good at getting things completely clean, particularly cups and mugs in the upper rack. They are often left with a gritty deposit, despite my attempts to clean the obvious bits of the machine. I'm sure it must be due to a bit of a blockage somewhere - can anyone help?

Hi JollyNolly
I had a similar problem recently. See this thread with some useful hints and advice...

Coincidentally I have just started to have this problem. And I have cleaned all the obvious filters etc too
Having read the thread recommended above I am wondering if it is the dishwasher tablets. I have only just started to use them as opposed to the separate powder, rinse aid and salt and this problem has only just started.
It makes sense that the problem is caused by the tablet not dissolving quickly enough.
I will be changing back to the separate bits and pieces asap.
For information, my machine is a Hotpoint and is under a year old.0
