As DLA is not a means tested benefit I dont think you have to inform anybody as it wont affect other benefit rates.0

Just to be on the safe side, I would inform all the other benefits. I was told I did not have to tell anyone when my recent award came through. Turns out I have now been overpaid by Income Support and they are clawing back money from me.
TELL EVERYONE, then you cannot be hit with an overpayment.0 -
I would let your la know as, depending on your other income and circumstances, it might increase your benefits.
Your applicable amount may be increased if you are on contribution ESA or if you have a ndep in your property they will now be disregarded0 -
Thanks you for your replies , i spent this morning phoning around all the relevant agencies to inform them and it turns out that my esa will go up due to being in receipt of high rate dla ,
Thanks for the advice xx0
