Tesco credit card

I am thinking of applying for a Tesco credit card and was wondering if anyone knows of any rewards (e.g. greasy palm etc) for doing so? something like a couple of thousand clubcard points would go down nicely - but I don't know if these are offered or have been offered in the past? I am happy to wait if such offers pop up from time to time.

Take a look at the thread 'Feeling cross at my own stupidity' posted today, which happens to be about the Tesco card.

Make sure whether you want % balance transfer or % goods before you apply.

I don't remember seeing a massive points promotion for the card, but they may do it from time to time.

I use Tesco CC as my only 'active' card and pay it off every month. In combination with the loyalty card I find it easier to have the points back each quarter rather than cashback offered by some cards. You get loyalty points on everything you buy anywhere on the credit card (only at half the rate you get if you are buying at Tesco's) and they have a scheme for trading in your points vouchers for 2 to 4 times their value on other promotions.

If you apply for the Tesco card, there is a box to tick which links you card purchases to your club card. If you don't tick this then you'll receive 2 lots of vouchers when they are sent out.
