Come back to BT offer

I'm currently with the Post Office for landline (went there for the £50 cashback).
I just got a mailing from BT offering option 2 (free evening & w/e calls) for the price of option 1 for a year (£11 per month).
Its an 18 month contract but I could drop to option 1 after the 12 months.
Seems a hassle free deal but any opinions would be appreciated.

From BT's website
Is there a minimum term to this special offer?
There is a minimum term of 18 months if you take up the special offer. If you decide to leave BT within this time or downgrade your option, you will be asked to pay the remaining balance on the offer period of 18 months. We think you will enjoy the benefits of this special offer and the freedom Option 2 gives you to make as many calls as you like without worrying about the cost.
However, its still a good idea to go back to BT for your line rental (Option 1) and use Primus (for free evening/weekend calls) and 18185 for daytime calls.

Aha the small print which does not seem to be on my mailing.
Cheers for spotting that!
I suppose that even considering that I would still be paying less than £1.80 per month for option 2 over the 18 month period.
Hmmmm.............Was it really "everybody" that was Kung Fu fighting ???0 -
But using Primus Saver Option 2 as your CPS (no minimum contract), you'd be paying nothing except your BT line rental (£11/month - or £10.75/month from January if you opt for online only billing) for those E&W UK 01/02 calls.Korkyb wrote:I suppose that even considering that I would still be paying less than £1.80 per month for option 2 over the 18 month period.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
