Every year when i've renewed i've aways had 2 payments in one week, normally around the same amount .
Has anyone had an extra payment after renewing this year, if you have how long after you renwed was it in your bank account.
I don't mean underpayments, i was told that it just happens when you renew ?
Many thanks

You won't necessarily get one, it all depends on the exact timing of the recalculation and your payment dates.0

hi
what do you mean by that ?
Many thanks
Tax credits work on a daily entitlement, when you renew they work out what you are owed up to the date of the renewal by working out your daily entitlement times the number of days in the tax year so far, minus what you've been paid.
But if, say, you got a payment on 6 April ie the first day of the tax year then you'll be getting payments in advance, so they probably won't owe you anything when they process the renewal. Or if the renewal is immediately after a regular payment.0
