My therapist told me she was fed up with it - losing her regular clients as they couldn't get appointments because she was spending all day to Laser Lipon treatments and those clients just spent the whole time moaning because it took them so long to get their appointments. Not surprised she's left.
  • Hi Guys

I just phoned O Spa in Canary Wharf after I read this thread and she said she hasn't heard they are closing and as far as the staff know they are carrying on as normal. They have started training one therapist up and going to start training another next week, it takes about a week to train someone apparently. She said they are really trying to get on top of it and get back to normal and the staff haven't been given any extra informatiom. She was actaully very nice, I felt a bit sorry for her! So potentially the delays to appointments could only be a few weeks if you're lucky, I don't know whether it's best to get a refund now in case they do go bust or hold out a little longer because I really want my laser lipo! What do you think???
  • Oh and just to add, she told em to get a refund I would have to contact head office (the 0845 number) but that their website was down and their phone was broken so I would have to email!

    I'm in total shock!
Just phoned Groupon (got through after holding for about 10 mins).
Said I wanted a refund from O Spa offer.
He just said ok, whats your email address I'll do a refund.
Next thing I see I've received an e-mail giving details of the full refund to my card!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All of a sudden so easy.

Re the treatment - I had 2 sessions and measured as having lost 1/2" inch from each thigh. My own measurements show that I haven't. I wouldn't bother having the treatment again as very disappointing really. Was told that the loss is in the first three sessions and then the other three were maintenance only.

and you do not receive the goods or service, you are entitled to a refund, usually without any need to dispute.

It's known as 'cardholder not present'. The merchant will be charged back (and also charged an admin fee) and has to prove he/she DID provide the services (e.g. if it's a spa day, your signature on arrival, if it's goods, then a signed for postal receipt).

I believe the law is different if you pay by a debit card - so be careful.
