Best deal for RAM?

Hey
I have a Dell Dimension 5000 and need some more RAM. I have no idea where to put this topic so im sorry if its the wrong place. I dont have a clue about ram but i have taken it out and taken a picture of it so that you can get the tech specs.
System Memory: 512 MB (DDR2-400 DDR2 SDRAM)

I would like either 2x 256 or 2x 512, depending on how much its going to cost me. Any ideas where i could get a good deal? I have tried eBay but i cant see much on there
Many thanks,
Matt

theres many brands out there matt you have many options as an computing engineer i reommend you go with a decent brand like kingston or curical
i would personally recommend this one
http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/64188
you can get the same type ram for 10 less here:
http://www.spotonuk.com/info.asp?ItemCd=1060477
its doesnt matter if you get 2 X 512 or 2X 256. 2X256
the links i should u are both 1 sitck on 512 i HIGHLY recommend the ebuyer site one good luck!0 -
Thanks for your help, thats quite a bit more than what i was thinking lol, on eBay i have seen 512 (2x 256) [ http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/512mb-2x-micron-256mb-pc2-3200-ddr2-400MHz_W0QQitemZ170055089877QQihZ007QQcategoryZ75517QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem ] for about £15 so for 1gb (2x 512) i think thinking about double that £30-£40, both links you gave me seem pretty expensive :O
Does it make much difference if its used or brand new?0 -
Just seen this, would this be ok for my PC?

Yes Matt that would work fine BUT i shoudlnt buy 2nd hand ram. They COULD slow down the performance of your computer if the seller has missued his computer meaning stressing the ram too much. But apart from that it will work fine! just make sure you got enough ram slots!0

Better to buy new ram from reputable seller, unless you know what you are doing and can test the memory thoroughly to report any problems quickly.0

Thanks but have you seen their prices!
Im thinking of going with either:

or:

Would they be better then? Both new + a brand name0
