When i start up my PC I get a box stating "Other people are logged on to this computer shutting down may cause them to loose data?"
We have 2 computers One Laptop running Windows 7 Thats a Wireless connection and this one running XP with an Ethernet cable the Laptop is not on when the box appears. could someone be hacking in to my netgear wireless router? A while ago my neighbours son asked if he could use my PC I told him yes but then i discovered he wanted to connect his machine through my router from his house so i refused him. Has anyone got any idea why this box appears and be willing to share the answer with me. Thanks in advance.

If it isn't that then the most common reason (I think) is because you have multiple user ids set up on the machine and have switched from one to another. Instead of shutting down do a logout and you'll see what other ids there are and iirc which are logged in. Authorised users can be managed from the control panel in (all?) versions of Windows.0

Open task manager and look under users tab to see who is on. Otherwise you are using a shared computer and just switching accounts0
