dept Store demanding fee to collect my faulty furniture

I would advise you to take lots of photos, in different lights etc, so if they send you a replacement table (sneakily, saying it's not faulty) you will have proof that they have replaced it, which can lead you to assume that the original was deemed faulty0

OP, how about getting an independent expert to inspect it?
Can The Furniture Ombudsman service help you?
Looks like it costs £99 up front.
Tell Debenhams you are going down this route, and advise them that if the report confirms your view then you will expect Debenhams to pay that fee too.
There seems to be lots of good info on that website.
Alternatively, perhaps you could insist that Debenhams send someone to inspect the thing, rather than relying on photos.0 -
When you have called have you spoken to a manager?
Might also be worth talking to your credit card company.0
