Hi can someone explain what the excitement is about whether your tax credit renewal forms come in a brown or a white envelope? I assumed that everyone got a white one as that’s all I've ever received? Now I'm wondering what it means anyone care to explain Please?

White and brown are the same thing. A gold one means you've won a trip to a chocolate factory.

If I remember correctly the brown envelope will be received by people who are on benefits and so will have no change in circs. The loopy one has gone :j0

I'm on benefits and had no change in circumstances, but received a white envelope - I always have, even before I went on benefits. I didn't realise that some CTC renewal forms werre in brown envelopes.0
