Hello :)

I've searched and searched the internet for an answer to this but just cant find one so i'm hoping you lovely people will be able to help me.

I have to replace the valves on my Kia Pride 2000 and i'm wondering if I can reuse the bolts as they are so expensive to buy!
Thanks for your help

If they are stretch bolts then unfortunately not, not safely at least. I'm assuming the cambelt has snapped? For the labour expense you're going to have rebuilding it might be worthwhile checking out how much it would be to source a good engine and have that fitted instead.

    petabear,

Sorry but I don't know the answer to your question but the advice from rodenal is sound. I am a great Kia Pride fan and used parts are relatively easy to obtain, but the actual engine was used in other vehicles and there is (or possibly was) a flourishing market in used engines coming from Japan.

Having said that, this site is excellent for vehicle advise if you don't receive an answer here:

    best of luck.

Sorry, but again I can't help. But I did buy one on a cd rom from Ebay a few years back for a couple of pounds. Unfortunately, I have mislaid it as I never actually needed it. If I still had it , I would gladly have sent it to you free.

There is a Haynes manual for a Ford Festiva which is how the car was branded in the USA albeit with different bodywork.
