Claiming PPI after IVA/Trust Deed

Just over 5 yrs ago my wife and I entered a Trust Deed because of debt stupidly built up (when we both had good jobs). Most of the loans/credit cards we took out had PPI.
Our period of the trust deed has ended and to be honest it was not as painful as expected - although recently we had a debt recovery agency contact us for a debt sold on by the Citi group. But thats sorted.
Has we didn't pay back in full the majority of loans (due to the Trust Deed), can we still claim PPI back. Or is that being cheeky.
We accept full blame for getting into debt, but a quick calculation shows we had been paying about £400 in PPI payments alone.

If you failed to pay whoever you claimed against in full, I think they will argue that the amount of any claim is set off against your debt so that unless they owed you more than you owed them you would receive nothing.0

Hi there
I'm in the same boat, completed my Trust Deed in November 2011 and now want to claim PPI. Thinking nothing ventured and nothing gained, I went for it. I've had my first offer from Capital One. Only £85 but they have said, in bold writing, they will put it towards outstanding debt.
I've asked the same question as you. Theres the moral obligation, but they had a moral obligation to lend responsibly. Anyone answering my posts have said the same, they will keep it. BUT it is protected, this means that all the companies accept that after they receive their share after discharge, they can't get any more. That's it. It took a while, but I've found info on the net that says any "windfall" after an IVA/PTD is finished that you didn't know you would receive at the time the IVA/PTD was put into place, should be yours to keep.
So, going by this - I'm going to fight, I'll let you know the outcome, as if I get it, anyone after a PTD should
