The clothes looked like boobs on a stick to me, but I agree that this is because if you show clothes on slim models with big boobs then that's how they look.

I went up several cup sizes in two years when I was at school and by the end of it most of my clothes looked slutty just because I was wearing them, especially my school uniform.

    It's a big boob + small waist = !!!!!! star thing.

It's like if you imagine a non pregnant, smaller implants Victoria Beckham in the nude fitted dress that one of the Spencer girls wore to the royal wedding, Victoria would look classy and elegant, but because of big boobs Kitty Spencer looked like she would have builders bellowing across the street at her.

I thought most of the Pepperberry clothes would emphasise my bust - waist ratio, and I try to play it down usually, for a quiet life.

have you tried them on? i never go into any shop and like everything, but bravissimo clothes fit me better than most, particularly shirts/cardigans where they're fitted and the buttons don't gape. i find i gape a lot less in a well fitting top from there than in a standard size top from anywhere else!

  • I think they tend to be a bit frumpy too... far too much beige for my liking, but I did try on a coat in there last year that was gorgeous... they are tooooo expensive for what they are though... and I have no idea why the hell they have started selling jeans etc... surely boobs are inconsequential when it comes to jean shopping??

Also, their curviest size (super curvy?) only just gives me enough boobage room... I tried on one of their dresses last year.. it was a struggle to get on... then I didn't like it - it was way too low cut and showed too much bra... then, horror of horrors, I realised I couldn't get the bloody thing back over my boobs... I ended up with it wedged round my ribs, whilst i did this manic escapologist impression - I was trapped in there struggling for a good ten minutes till I got it off!

:rotfl: If it makes you feel better, I tried on a lovely linen vest top in a charity shop the other day, I knew it was unlikely to fit me well but it had to be done.

Well. I got it on, and realised there was no point doing up the zip on the side, so I tried to take it off. However, because my left shoulder still doesn't go everywhere it should, I found I couldn't pull it up over my head. I could get the straps off my shoulders, just, and turn it into a boob tube, but then it wouldn't go up, or down. So I put the straps back on, and thought. Had another wiggle, remembering my grandma saying 'skin a rabbit' as she helped me pull tight vests off. No joy. It had no stretch in the fabric, you see: I've been able to pull stretchy tops over my shoulder OK, but this one was VERY stuck!

:o Eventually I just had to stick my head out of the changing room door and ask the matronly woman serving if she could assist me! :o

Fortunately it's not one of my regular charity shops, so I may not go back. :rotfl:

I have big boobs and a small waist and I am very proud of my shape and do think Bravissimo clothing shows my curves off really well. I have bought a lot of dresses and tops from them and am glad they fit so well. However, I do find some of the clothes frumpy and just a tad expensive, but love their sales, as they are genuine reductions.

I'd hate to say how many times I've done that:rotfl: Ripped one once too :o When my other half has to yank tops over my boobs to get to them makes me laugh though ;)

I only just get into supercurvy too, maybe if there's enough of us we coud pester them into creating ubercurvy?

I have bought a few things from them but I've not got a perfect fit yet. I do llike the clothes but also find them expensive but I might buy again in the sales. Having the new store in Edinburgh is great and I found the staff to be lovely. I bought the plain royal blue dress for a wedding and I did find it a bit low at the front (I had to tell a friend to retake a photo as you could see my bra).
I love MSE freebies and comps. Thanks posters

I love the Bravissimo strappy tops and nightwear but definitely agree that most of the clothes are pretty dire and strangely cut. Im a size 12-14 with a 34E chest so the idea of being able to buy tops and shirts which don't gape or strain over the chest is appealing but I don't find Bravissimo clothes fit the bill, Im also tall and some of their tops are much too short.

Some of the tops seem to make my chest look massive and some of the tops are so low cut that they show your bra. And even if the clothes fit well they are often in strange colours/material and not very fashionable.

I bought two beautiful winter coats from there a couple of years ago, which were expensive but fitted perfectly and will last for many years. They are two of the most favourite things I own as I can wear them over anything and feel that I look smart.

I can completely understand why someone with big breasts might want to flaunt them. The thing that gets to me about Bravissimo (who I love) is that their clothes, the evening wear in particular, don't give you an option about what you flaunt. Just because I have big breasts, doesn't mean I necessarily want to flaunt them - sometimes it's nice to show off other features.
