Bravissimo clothing (pepperberry) - makes you look busty?

Now I know Bravissimo is designed for the more well endowed amongst us and at a 30G I've bought lots of their underwear and swimwear over the years and a couple of the strappy tops with the inset bra. They recently sent me some brochures for their new clothing range (example here)and my first thought was most of it made the models look like they had enormous boob rather than flattering them.
Yesterday I was in Edinburgh and spotted the shop so popped in assuming the clothes just hadn't photographed well but to be honest I was horrified at how most of them looked in reality.

I'm not ashamed of my curbes and don't want to hide them but I'm certainly not going to buy anything that's pre shaped with 2 giant melons in front. I

I think Bravissimo have lost the plot a bit.
Has anyone else found the same with the shape of the clothing?

  • Yep! I'm 32H and 5ft 4. They seem to make the clothes to fit 6ft women with huge hips. All the dresses just hang off me and don't fit right.

Also, most of the clothes are really low cut so they show off your bra. I wish they would just make 'normal' tops and dresses that fit my boobs instead of trying to emphasis the boobs in everything! Surely they realise that big boobs means you are probably wearing a slightly bigger bra than normal?!

I think the obvious 'stuck on boob' look of their clothes is really ugly too.

The models look like they have large breasts, because they do have large breasts...
I've always thought that was the point of bravissimo clothing, that it is shaped for your breasts rather than having to buy a larger size to get the top to fit. I've been buying tops from there for a while, the stuff in the current catalogue looks much the same as before I think.

Yes I'm well aware of that but in my opinion their clothing is now actually drawing attention to this and not in a flattering way at all. In fact I would describe some of the clothes as almost matronly.

It doesn't matter to me one way or another - I'll buy my clothes from places where I think they fit and flatter. My question was simply to what others think.

worst "i've got big boobs" thread ever.
  • They look that the range is specifically designed for women who have had breast augmentation and want to show them off.

Sometimes companies should remember that not everyone wants it all hanging out and really obvious, but don't want to dress like a seventy year old.

Bravissimo make it clear that they are about enhancing and enjoying what you have, not hiding it. It may surprise you that many of us with naturally big boobs are quite proud of them! Bravissimo clothes give you the chance to show them off without looking slutty.

So they are designed for people who want to show them off, like I said. The models all appear to have had augmentations. Which means we are essentially saying the same thing. There's nothing wrong with that and I am not surprised that some people like having large breasts. When I had a smaller waist, I would wear clothes designed to enhance the smallness of it.

What I am also saying though, is that some people don't want the description of them to be 'oh, her with the knockers hanging out' and I think they should also provide clothing that isn't quite so exposing in more than just work shirts.

It's irrelevant whether a person has the breasts of an adult model or Kate Middleton, I think there should be an option somewhere between 'look at my wares out for sale' and 'just on my way to pick up my pension'.

I don't think the Bravissimo range flashes the knockers too much in the sense of showing cleavage....in fact I agree with OP that some of it is quite frumpy.

Their boobs look so big is because of the models' teeny frames and waists, bit like Barbie :p Like this . The clothes are designed to enhance the the figure first and fit over the bust, where the woman's usual dress size in a slim fitting garment wouldn't generally accomodate the boobs and a size to fit the boobs would swamp a petite frame.

My main objection to much of the range is the price!

They do seem to make one shape, and one shape only - if it fits you, then it's great, but if not, there's not much choice. Their stuff suits me, and I find it covers my boobs better than most other makes - but I'm quite tall, so wish I could have a choice of some longer tops, not just the same top over and over with different trims and colours.

And I'd agree that some of the tops are dreadful.

Bravissimo clothes are far from slurry and 'all hanging out'!! A lot of it is frumpy. The reason the models boobs look big is because they are big and they have small waists. If your waist wasn't much smaller than normal for your bust size you wouldn't need to buy clothes from bravissimo as standard sizes would fit!hence most of us bravissimo girls look like we have huge boobs and for a very natural reason-we do!!! Anything designed to flatter and fit our boobs is going to show them off.

    Maybe go sack shopping
