Can anyone tell me why there is a horrible groany noise when the handle goes up after pulling the chain. It only does it whilst the handle pops up (seconds) then stops!
Is it anything to worry about??

nothing to worry about really, but if its annoying you could change the insides of the cistern for something a little quieter.

If it has just started, the diaphram that pulls the water up to start the siphoning may be wearing/hardening.Rich people save then spend.
Poor people spend then save what's left.0 -

It's been doing it off and on for a good few months now. It seems to be getting worse though and more noisy!
Is it something that I can fix myself or do I need a plumber?0
