Sky probs with magic eye or RF out?

Hi there

We've been having probs as we're unable to view Sky in other rooms using the Sky remote/Magic Eye. Have checked that the RF Out settings are still correct (they are) but the LPA120D tv link isn't lighting up (as it normally does). Have phoned Sky and they have suggested that this tv link unit is faulty and needs replacing.

Our Sky HD box seems to be working fine otherwise. NB - all was working fine until a powercut last week and since then nothing. We will buy a replacement tv link but is there anything we can do to test whether it's a problem with our Sky box?

Thanks!

Do you have access to a multimeter? If so, it would be worth checking that there is actually 9V DC present at the Sky box RF Out that you are using.

Plug the magic eye straight into the RF2 Out on the Sky box,if it & then the RF lead going to the TV that is directly connected to the Sky box.If it lights up,then recconect it all up & then connect the magic eye in place of the booster box,if it lights up,then connect thru to the TV without the booster, you may need to buy a barrel connector, then connect the magic eye back into the TV.If it again lights up,it's the booster,if it doesn't it's either the connections or the cabling.
