Dunnes store Thailand chicken goujons.

Hi,

I bought some chicken goujons at Dunnes stores and on looking at the pack it says produce of Thailand. Makes me a little nervous on account of the asian flu scares, but otherwise taste absolutely fine. I suppose Dunnes are not the only supermarket to source chicken produce from Asia. What about the rest of you, would you avoid chicken produce from Asia?

AT least Dunne's have the honesty to state 'sourced in Thailand'.

Some outlets used to state 'packed in Uk or Ireland'

Maybe this is the new rules?
  • I'd be more worried about how fresh it could be if its come the whole way from Thailand....

But having three close friends who have worked in two of the big local poultry producers (who I'd better not name, as I don't want them to track me down and sue me!) I would be reluctant to eat chicken goujons from any background. Its all a bit

I worked in a Chicken factory for 7 years. If you seen half the things that go on you wouldn't touch chicken ever again!!
