This probably means then that they gave you the wrong copy and should have kept that one. The shops copy "merchant copy" should hold full details, as they need to keep a record of it in case something goes wrong with the transaction somewhere down the line.

So you should have nothing to worry about because they will have the copy with asterisks on them, not your full details.

As Duncans mum said, they have given you the wrong copy. All shops copies have full details on in case of problems.

Yes, unless something went wrong with the electronic transaction as you have the 'back up' copy. Just make sure you burn/shred it so that no-one can use your card details should they find it
