If you have 500 positives, a neg won't hurt. Just respond to it saying "full refund including return postage cost offered, but buyer didn't return item"

hurt me... I hadn't sold lots on my business account recently. Got a neg and my rating went to 93% but otherwise 666 positives... sold shedloads of stuff but no-one leaves feedback!

    First neg ever!

I'm not sure what advice to take. I've been ebaying for 3 years, with over 500, 100% positive feedback, and don't want a neg! I think that if i don't refund I'll just get a neg!

And it is precisely that attitude that the scammers prey on.

Thanks guys - I'm in completely two minds whether to just cut my losses and refund her right now.
Or tell her to send the pop at her own risk, or she could claim herself.

I know you can ask ebay to remove feedback - do they do this often?

It's the sender who should claim from RM, not the recipient.
When did she say she sent it?
If it should have been with you a while ago have you checked your sorting office to see if it's there?
If she should open a dispute she would need to prove delivery back to you before you had to refund.
Maybe it's got lost in the post, maybe there's something on your listing or in your FB to make someone think that you could be a soft touch.
I certainly wouldn't be refunding until I have the item back.

She sent it on the 27th, 1st class, so only 7 working days ago. I haven't checked, I'll try and pop in tomorrow to see if theres anything there.

I'll wait for her response about me asking her to email/text pop (which i now realise is totally useless!), then give her the option of either sending the pop to me (at her risk seeing as shes worried it wont arrive), or give her the option of claiming herself.

Not quite sure how you quote stuff :S but I will wait untill I either recieve the item, or pop to refund her.

    Thanks for everyones help :)
