Hello! Just a question that made me think..

I only enter competitions for things i want to win.
When i was new to comping, i would enter just about everything.
Of course this stopped after being honest with myself and realising how much time i was wasting entering comps for things i would really have no use for. I read about people on this board entering 100+ comps a day... which i can't do. So now i only enter competitions for things that would benefit my family, friends or myself.
Of course i've noticed that i don't have as many wins as before... but at least when a package comes with my name on, i won't be disappointed as i'll know it's something that myself or someone i know would have wanted.
In terms of holidays, concerts e.t.c... i always check the dates. There are a bunch of holiday competitions that i've had to miss out on here recently due to me having exams during that time period. I've missed out on lots of concert competitions too because i know i won't be in London at that time e.t.c.0 -
I too only enter for things I or my family could use, although I admit I sometimes enter as the runner up prize is something I could use then hope I don't get drawn as the winnerBestof2013-AcerLaptop,years supply of Lindt chocolate,Family to Spain,£500,13 bottles of Wine,iPhone 5,2 night island break,Pedal Bike&Helmet,HuntersWellies,TomTomGPSWatch,3 bottlesVodka

I tend to enter competitions for things I'd like or things that I know family and friends would love. I try not to enter competitions for things that I don't want as I feel I'm depriving someone else of it if I won.:o2019 Wins

Sounds like I'm the same as everyone else!!
I also only enter competitions for things that I or members of family could use.
I know I could enter everything and sell things I don't actually want but personally think this takes something from somebody else who would enjoy it.
Good luck with your comping

I tend to have a quick read through the comp details before entering. If it's something that I'm not really interested in or won't be around for then I won't enter it. I have enough clutter in my house without unwanted prize wins lol!Officialy comping since October 2010!2014 wins: Kindle Fire HDX and £25 Kindle Voucher0

I only enter things I want to win. Laptops, holiday, money/gift vouchers, smellies, electricals and kids toys make up most of what I enter. However sometimes when I am going through the comps on autopilot I end up entering something I would have no use for or wouldnt be able to attend. It happens though so I dont worry too much about it. Good luck xTotal 2019: £3972 - Best win this year £3000
2018 total £4062/2017 total £2260/ 2016 total £2025/ 2015 total £3809.0 -
I only enter comps that are gonna be of use to me. I mainly enter holiday and cash one's. Both for the same reason, myself and my partner are frantically saving for our wedding next August, so we won't be able to afford a holiday this year and am hoping for some extra cash to boost the funds0
