Criminal Record Bureau Checks

My wife has been asked to fill in a CRB check form but she is worried because she has 2 county court judgements against her. Do these show on CRB checks? If so should they as it's not a criminal conviction it's civil?

Hope someone can help

TIA

No, a CCJ is not a criminal matter.

CRB will show nothing, unless she has any form of criminal record.
  • CRB checks are criminal checks and are now becoming standard for those who work with children.

They deal only with criminal records, not civil matters.

  • No as a CCJ isn't a crime, where as something like a public order offence is.
Smaller things don't tend to be put on your CRB, only thing relevant to your check. For example my 'conviction' for speeding wasn't on my CRB.

  • Not sure if I'm right or not but when I did my CRB form there was a section for finances, I did not have to fill this in because I was not working in finance, my employer told me not to bother with this.If you are working for a financial institution I think they check you out with the credit reference agencies.

What kind of responsibilities will she be taking on? Sunday school? Or helping to run a credit union? That might affect what they're looking for. Can you ask?

If it's working in a kids club, it will be an enhanced CRB which would show ALL criminal convictions and cautions even if spent.
It will show no ccj's or any financial information.
I have had 2 this year due to starting new jobs, they used to be valid for 1 year but now you have to apply for a new one for every new job.

every job i have started to said i had to send off for a new one if actually starting the job not applying, a girl i worked with said they used to be valid for a year so if starting a new job within a year you wouldnt have to send off for a new one.
Maybe its just in my area.
