Coffee Stall Business-What Colour Scheme?

Ahh I see, you're just doing it P/T weekends. The figures stacked up for me but as I said just not as favourably as I would have wanted for a FT venture. If you were looking at an ape, you could do the full set up yourself with an older van but still looking the part for £2-3k, nowhere near the £9k they're on at.
Still think you'd be better spending the extra mate and getting the colour you want. Shame as When I wrapped up my exhibitions/concessions business I sold 4 2x2m gazebos and 4 1.5mx1.5m gazebos really cheap.
Look at ebay second hand, save you a fortune, then look at getting your graphics custom printed with the money you're saving. Check the venues re pub liabilty insurances etc too.
Again , all the best hope it works for you0 -
sorry but brown/ beige shouts to me coffee and class - psychologically and other levels. A good logo and product at the right price with the right font and advert and at a fayre / show / exhibition I would see you and come to you - see how important advertising and signage / logo / colours and font?
For what i think looks like it might be a good cup of decaff capuccino im looking at a couple of quid a cup based on situ -way over your price but that is based on what i see... and i want decaff cap... in a limited offering environment.
GO cheap with advertising this sort of venture and you will reap the same returns. You really do reap what you sow on this sort of thing.

and she finally worked out after 4 months, how to make that quote her sig! :rotfl:I will pay jexygirl the compliment of saying that she invariably writes a lot of sense!0 -
Just a thought but major coffee brands spend millions on developing their brand and the brand colours without being too blantant but rip off their colour schemes (without breaching their trademarks/copyrights). People will see the colours of your stand and think coffee. Just like if you saw white wrighting on a red back ground saying 'barrys drinks' you would probabily think coca cola and go to that stand for a soft drink.0

You might as well do it anyway - £25 and 2 1/2 hours of your time online. It only covers the basics but you might pick up a few tips. Although problems are unlikely if a case was to arise certificates will always be looked upon favourably.
If you want to be the best and give your customers a great experience that includes food safety. If you can't be bothered to spend this little amount of time and money then you probably don't have the passion to run a business. I suspect you do though so just go and do it

That's exactly why I have come to MSE for advice. Nescafe use black, Starbucks green, Dowe Egberts red/blue, common sense says brown.
I agree completely about the font/logo and still have to decide on that, also decide on a name.
£2 a cup isn't out of the ballpark either and price will obviously depend upon the event. Less than a quid and it's not worth me doing, a quid upwards and it'll be worth my while, depending on the cost of the pitch.
However, I don't intend to rip people off price wise, just a premium cup of coffee at a reasonable price.0 -
Green sounds classy but if you're doing fairs in leafy places it's not going to stand out from the trees.
White is too standard and will probably be in the majority so you won't stand out.
I like the sound of the grey/black, would look really classy with a cream logo on it.
If you can't afford to get it sign written you could buy a decent resolution pic of some coffee beans/frothy coffee from somewhere like istockphoto and get it put onto a couple of large canvas prints and hang one on either side.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

colour psychology is important but you also need to consider building a brand. Yes you can effectively pass off (in a mild sense) an existing business by using a similar colour scheme but don't you want your own unique-ish colour scheme so if a customer goes elsewhere and you have expanded that they could easily recognise your business?0

I'd call it barista and then underneath in italics put the Italian dictionary pronunciation.
barista

I'd reduce the leading in between the two but no idea how to do that on here.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Ok, I would totally go with costa coffee colours. They have done all the research/marketing and people will see the colour and hone in on it. Im sorry but brown is horrible:p everyone has green and navy gazebos at events, dark red will stand out and still look classy! black or white will really show mud. If you are going to get a gazebo look at getting one like this - I saw a really nice one once and this is the closest I could find.

what I mean is with the cover across the bottom half at the front it makes you look more professional You can also get them with menu boards hanging on ones side which looks nice also.0
