Advice Needed

At present I am completing a teacher training course which will finish at the beginning of July. Luckily I have a teaching job lined up that will start in September. This does present me with a bit of a problem in that I have just this week recieved my final student loan installment which is the last bit of money that will I will recieve my first wage slip at the end of September. I'm desperately trying to find a summer job, but not getting very far at the moment as I can only commit to 7 weeks work over the summer and not the whole summer season. Hopefully something will turn up but I was wondering if anybody have any advice or know if during the summer months I will be entitled to any benefits?

when i was in the same position i managed to find some TEFL work teaching summer exchange students on a short term basis. I wasn't tefl qualified my QTS status was enough.

some of my fellow students signed on with teaching agencies and did some supply work - although it wasn't at qts rate

My course doesn't finish until mid July and my teaching job starts 1st September, meaning I can only give 7 weeks. Most places I've enquired in only want people who can commit to a much longer summer.
