Hi all. Quick question.
Do you think it is better to sell childrens clothing in bundles or as individual pieces? Mixed bag of things like jeans, t-shirts etc. from places like Next, M&S, Jo Jo Maman etc.

If they are high street then bundle. If more upmarket then separate. Just watch postage on bundles as there are maximums you can charge in some eBay categories.0

The postage issue is a very good point and one which is often overlooked.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I sell a lot of childrens clothes, good quality stuff of my daughters like next m&s dresses etc I separate as u get quite a bit for them other stuff I put in bundles. You can charge £4.00 for postage maximum but if you have a large amount you can opt for courier for bulky items and state the cost in your listing.0

I normaly list budles of my two little ones and use courier to post them out as then not restricted to the set postage in certian catagories, i normaly sell a few times a year summer bundles, winter bundles similar to the brands you have listed and usualy make enough on them to buy there next lot of clothes, sometimes even end up selling them for more than i got them for in the first place as i usualy buy there clothes in the sales :0)0

I have found that selling separately but offering postage discounts for multiple purchases can be a good way to sell clothing. However this does take much longer and much more effort than just selling bundles!0

i buy children's clothes (usually what i class as mid range such as catimini, pampolina etc) and am wary of bundles (only in as much as i read the description very carefully), it is amazing how many bundles mention a posh brand but then only have 1 of that brand and the rest is rubbish.
I am also staggered at how much people will pay for the top top brands second hand (e.g. jottum, burberry etc.), the world has gone mad
I'm also relatively harsh on the postage DSR as many kids clothes sellers seem to think they have the right to charge excessive amount (please note I said many, not all)

I've been selling my daughter's unworn/good quality worn clothing on ebay for about 6 months now - I always list them as individual items/outfits and have found this really works for me. I always give combined p&p costs for multiple purchases.2008 wins: Avon handcream, 4 x body cream set, L'Oreal moisturiser, Tom Tom One XL sat nav, Jackie Collins book, Orange Liveradio, 6 night holiday to China!, 2 x Status Quo tickets, St Helier Cider stuff, Aperitivo bowl, signed Paul O'Grady book, Jessop's CeWe photo book, Flight of the Red Balloon dvds/book, Wild Bean Cafe mug & spoon.0

I buy lots of baby clothes online, and only buy bundles.
New clothes are so cheap nowadays, so individual items become very expensive once you add postage on, thus not really worth it in most cases.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I tend to try and sell in small bundles of a couple of outfits... couple of pairs of jeans/trousers/skirts and then two, three or four tops - I have a set of digital scales so I usually weigh as I list to make sure I don't go over the £4 postage threshold.
I came unstuck selling larger bundles a few months ago - I listed about four bundles of newborn/up to three month immaculate girls clothes that were all Next, Gap and M&S etc.. starting them all off at 99p (thinking that it would attract people to bid!) and three of the bundles each went for 99p and all bought by the same bidder.
I always combine postage so came to invoice the buyer who in the meantime had emailed me asking if she could collect!!!!
Turns out she lived a few doors away from a relative so I said that I could meet her at my relatives house for her to pick them up.
I sorted the clothes out and sorted a few extras out for her I had found. I met her at the door and said "hope you don't mind but I've added a few extra bits in there for you too"
Not even a smile, or a thank you - just handed me £3 and grunted something about cooking the kids tea!!
I did get good some very good feedback a few days later tho!0
