Coming off JSA into work after 16 weeks

I should state I have looked at Direct Gov website and I'm sure the answer won't be positive based on that website but I will ask anyway.
I started signing on 1st February 2011 and found out on the 4th May that I should be starting a new job on 6th June.
Apart from an extra week of JSA when I sign off is there anything else I can ask for/entitled to. I'm 23, I'm aware that as I've not been signing on for six months or more I won't get any job grants but as I'm relocating for this job (Southampton to London) can I ask for anything like a crisis loan towards a deposit/rent?
Thanks in advance.

You can ask about a grant for some clothing/travelling, advisers have a discretionary fund or did. (ADF)
Most grants/incentives kick in after 26 weeks unemployed.Forums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.0 -
You will find it difficult. You cannot get a crisis loan, budgeting loan (26 weeks+) or community care grant. Unless you are being rehomed by a charity or moving out of a care home. Crisis loans are limited to disasters or emergencies. As you are moving voluntarily for work (which I admire) if you cannot afford housing etc. they would class you as intentionally homeless. Try the council.0
