Halifax cashcard visa electron help?

I have a halifax cashcard visa electron, and this is fine but at my local tesco it only works say twice in five times even though i have sufficient funds in my account. I dont have a problem (so far) in any other place just at this particular branch. Gets rather embarrasing to then go to the cashpoint- withdraw cash and then return to the till to complete my sale! Halifax dont know why and neither do Tesco, I have changed the card to a newer one thinking that that would help - but its just as bad.

I have a Maestro card and in one particular branch of morrisons the card always declines and I have to go to the cash machine. Morrisons nor my bank know why.0

its todo with it been an online card, if they cant get an auth online it declines.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Exact same issue here. Can't use my Natwest card in morrisons nor at the pay at pump at the petrol station. However, it works in the cash point and inside the petrol station. Very annoying but I do have another card to use.I have a Maestro card and in one particular branch of morrisons the card always declines and I have to go to the cash machine. Morrisons nor my bank know why.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Several merchants have issues with Visa Electron cards. Try opening an account with a regular Visa debit card, which should have fewer problems.0
