Problem with Opera and CCleaner

The one thing I really like about Opera is that even after you shut down the pc, when you open Opera, all the tabs you had open are still there and open.

However after I run CCleaner, it loses the tabs and all that is there is the Speed Dial screen.

I have CCleaner set to retain the cookies for Opera and a couple of other site.

Can anyone tell me the settings I need to change to retain the open tabs when running CCleaner?

in the main ccleaner screen, go to the applications tab and try the opera options in there, there's only 4 items to try, but trial and error on those 4 may sort your issue :) I use opera but don't have multiple tabs open on startup..

  • ccleaner cleans too much sometimes. try 'glary utilities' (free) instead. It is more controllable, for me anyway.

You could save the tabs in Opera before running ccleaner.
menu >tabs and windows >sessions >save this session
It can then be called back later.

And as Browntoa says, don't system restore - ignore rash suggestions like that.

Thanks for the replies, really helpful.

I forgot about saving sessions as I haven't used that in ages as Opera is so good at remembering your last session, unlike FF, so I have done that.

Thanks also about checking the Applications Tab in CCleaner. I have 8 options there instead of 4 and one of them is Session which was ticked so I have unticked it.

I didn't have this problem until the latest version of CC v3.06.1433. It was fine before that on all the previous versions with the settings I had.

Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

Quite right, I checked the options and had 4, then updated CCleaner and now have the 8 :)
