manchester airport hotels on the cheap?

Hi, me and the better half are having a little jolly later this year and were flying from manchester airport. Ive priced some hotels up for a family room and they vary hugely! I would like something reasonable to good as this may be the only holiday in the next few years. Years ago my friend worked for hilton and if you called on the night you could get some brilliant rates, just literally to shift the rooms. Do the hotel chains still do this? also if anyone knows of any discount pages to check out i would be very grateful. checked the usual. Fingers crossed and many thanks.

i booked with hilton direct on line. we got a family room for 1 night inc breakfast and 2 weeks parking for £109. i thought that was a good price ...

During the last Travelodge sale I was lucky to get 2 rooms at the Warrington Lymm Services for £10 each room for Oct this year, I went for this travelodge rather than the one on the airport as it had better reviews.

Manchester airport is right on the M56, which is 2-3 miles from the M60 manchester circular. The airport is served by a train, and the M6 is about 10miles to the south down the M56.

With this in mind, if you were to be travelling by car, any one of the travelodges surrounding the area are ideal to stay the night, with even some of the ones on the M6, M56 and the M60 (Birchwood) being £29.99 for a family room for the night.
