ah but this isn't just any regular port scan....it has nanoprobes ( cue hair care product commercial 'science bit' )

so it must be better right ? ;)

Well that is annoying speaking as someone who's actually used "real" nanoprobes in atomic force microscopy. Why do "marketing" people always nick scientific terms and use them out of context.

Most Firewalls are SPI enabled (stateful packet inspection) so will allow in packets from comms originating from that pc, that is why trojans phone home for instructions and the firewall allows the replies, cos the firewalled pc initiated the convo...

For the OP.... There is also a page somewhere on the very useful GRC site that shows what your browser is telling about you .... will edit this soon

Edit ....this page explains why you should possibly worry about a fixed ip and name https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2 and this will show your browser headers - no MAC addresses. here https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?rh1dkyd2 if these links do not work from the front page go to project and shields up.

Has the OP looked at what is in the header of an email ?
