Just wondering looking back at the last round of price increases -
Why does gas go up by say 3% but electricity by 9%?
I know that there are inefficiencies in creating electricity from any source of fuel but surely these are already embedded in the fixed costs.
As a good proportion is generated from gas why doesn't the cost follow the increase in that fuel more closely?
