    Thanks Pat. I've got to say, as time goes by I can see the arthritis taking over more and more. I would love her to sell up and come to live near me. She lives in London and I live outside of London. It would be so much easier if she was around the corner. I think a move though in her state would do more harm than good.

    I see her as much as possible and talk to her most days on the phone. I also take her shopping every 2 weeks. For the last 2 years half my holidays have been used to work on her house. My cousin used to do a lot of the day to day stuff for nan till she emigrated to Australia.

    It's very disturbing to see someone who has been so active all her life to be restricted in small everyday things. Anything that I can do to ease this has got to be a good thing.

    After reading your post about your nan,needing a kettle tipper (which is what i was looking for myself ) i decided to join this site too ,and i was wondering if you knew if Nightingales that you speak of in one of your posts has any branches in my area ,im in west sussex ,or if they have a web site ,also i just have to say what a fantastic site this is ,so very helpful .hope your nan is feeling better and more independent now ,i know how important that feeling is to anybody in our position .
