  • Yes it looks like it he has only ever bid on Palaceandy's auctions eventhough
there are plenty of simlar items available on eBay.

eBay log all IP Numbers so if he is using an alternate name, they should be able to tell.

Just report this to eBay. it doesnt matter if you are wrong, eBay would rather you report if so they can check it out for themselves. If you are not happy about contacting eBay I will send them the details.

I've reported a few shill bidders and never had any comeback.

    Go for it!
  • Wow! Just had a major result with reporting a dodgey item and seller to ebay.

I noticed item 5168967946 appeared to be a 'backup copy'. This was confirmed by the seller when I emailed them. The bidding had reached over £45 wiith the winning bidder being a complete novice. I went through the 'contact us' process ( http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/contact_inline/index.html ) to report the item to eBay. I then noticed some suspicious activity between the seller 'aanee143' and one of the bidders 'moonsignslondon'. By looking at their bidding history, it looked like they were both being used as shill bidders on each others listings. I also reported this seperately. Within 20 minutes all bids on the original item, execpt those placed by 'moonsisgnslondon' had been removed! And it would appear that the same has happened with all their other auctions too.

It's not often I think this, but Well Done eBay Support!

Just had a look, good result.
  • Actually, on further investigation, I'm not too sure eBay were so proactive in their response.
I took the precaution of contacting the bidders on the original item and they may have contacted the seller themselves to have their bids cancelled. Certainly, the seller has been busy cancelling bids this afternoon - perhaps he recieved some kind of warning from eBay. Any which way, some innocent bidders have been saved some hassle and will probably be more careful in the future. Sadly though, it's just the tip of the iceburg.

Re: Angelcake's original post; it seems if the seller is shill bidding with another id namely curlyjazzk, then he's won 5 of his own items, so he'll have to pay the FVF anyway! What a muppet!

Not really, if he reports HIMSELF for non-payment he could have the FVF credited :-(

Not sending goods to a "No Longer Registered"...what ever it's called, also counts towards a FVF credit.

How do you see which auctions someone has bid on?
