Best method of putting plaster beads on?

Gonna plasterboard a 'fake' chimney breast what is the best method to secure the plasterboard corner beads?

    Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    Normally 25mm clout nails banged straight into the masonary.
    Make sure they are galvanised.
    Using standard steel ones will enventually bleed through with rust onto your new work.

    or stick them with a bit of multi, knock it up a bit stiff, and wipe of the excess thats comes through the bead...or let the plasterer do it.
