Additional card holder

I went bankrupt in oct 2009 and have been discharged etc. I have a vanquis credit card but only have a £500 limit. I don't need credit as we have a healthy bank account now since going bankrupt but the vanquis card does not have enough balance on it for car hire etc for our holidays.
My daughter has offered to get me a card on her account as an additional card holder. Will this effect her credit score in anyway as I don't want her linked to my bad credit.
Any advise would be really grateful.
Thanks

Additional card holders are not usually credit checked or financially linked to the primary card holder. Your daughter will be solely responsible for ensuring payments are made on time and that the card stays within limit.0

I think it [un]likely that a financial association would be created.
Normally, a financial association would be created where a joint liability exists but the credit card will still be your daughter's sole liability. It might be worth contacting one of the CRAs for clarification before going ahead.
Edit
Sorry, that was a very unfortunate typo. The two paras now, hopefully, make sense together.

My experience is that credit cards do not financially link you if you have a secondary card holder.
Having a joint bank account however will financially link you.
This has been the case with 3 credit card companies (vanquis, cap 1, hsbc) thus far, don't know if they are all the same.
The two banks that linked me in the past were Abbey and HSBC when I had joint account with my ex wife, and now I have one with my wife-to-be!Debt free, moved, got new stuff for the new flat - got everything I wanted and need - now just saving.0 -
Precisely. But in the case of a secondary CC holder, there is no joint liability. The T&Cs state very clearly that the primary card holder remains solely responsible for ensuring that timely monthly payments are made and that the account doesn't go overdrawn. Also statements are sent to the primary card holder only.Consumerist wrote: »Normally, a financial association would be created where a joint liability exists but the credit card will still be your daughter's sole liability.
All this to say that full liability rests with the daughter; the OP would merely be 'piggy-backing'.0 -
I have a few with my other half, never association been createdDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
