Electric wall mounted fire

Hello
My livingroom is very cold in winter, i have central heating, but the radiators are not in the ideal places. This is because i have concrete flooring and they have laid pipes in easiet places rather than sensible places  I don't want the expense of hassle of correcting this, so have decided to get a electric fire. I want a nice, possibly mirrored front one. Does anyone kknow where i can get a good deal? Is there anything i should look out for when thinking about the running costs?
Thanks

There are two thing to bear in mind if you propose to use electric heating.
1) All electric heaters of the same output will cost the same to run.
2) Electricity will cost you about 5 times more than gas, for the same amount of heat.
Bearing in mind the the two statements above. What would the sensible decision? That's right, do the modifications required to the gas system.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Oh no, i was really hoping someone wouldn't say that!!
I'm hoping to move next year, so not sure it's worth it.0
