What 50 items would you want!!

Hi
Its's my big sis's 50th coming up and I had an idea to make a box and wrap up 50 individual items inside. They don't have to be big or expensive - What would you like to find if the box was for you??
Any ideas would be gratfully received:)

What a lovely idea. It might be cool to do a mix of things she'd like, things that mean a lot to her, and jokey presents.

So maybe a box of her favourite chocolates, a mix CD of every number one song on her brithday from every year of her life, and then jokey presents like some senior vitamins, a rainmate and some prunes.

Hi, what about some sweets from when she was younger, a coin from the year she was born, some songs recorded onto a cd from the year she was born or from when she was younger, a favourite comic if it's still printed or a toy she liked a lot, random list I know but hope this gives you some ideas x

I have just bought this after seeing someone on here mention the Jackie range of music cd's.

There are three cd's of music that was around when I was a teenager and I am 50 this year too. It is quite a trip down memory lane and reminded me of some good songs :) and some pretty dire ones too:eek:.

That is interesting because I am 50 this year and whilst I would like a picture of my family I would hate to be given a picture of myself when I was young. My husband gave me a picture for my 30th birthday of me and my sister that was taken when I was 15. I loathe it and perhaps I will mark my 50th birthday by taking it down from the wall.:rotfl:

I dont think I would want a picture from when I was 15 either haha I mean very young. For example for my Grandads 80th I included a picture of himself when was approx 2 years old in a photobook for him. He had never seen this picture (i got it from another family member) and actually had no pictures of himself as a child so he was thrilled with it. I would also cherish a picture of myself as a young child with my parents or grandparents, particularly those that are no longer with us.

love this thread am trying to start one early for my dads 50th in 2012

Already for my dads i have his favourite aftershave, a picture with all his kids and grandkids in, an experience day (driving rally car things lol)

I think just little things would be wonderful maybe a newspaper from the day she was born, get a drawing made of a photo of the two of you,

A really good site for this sort of stuff is www.iwantoneofthose.com or have a look in hawkins bazar for some little silly things:rotfl:

Is there anything she has always wanted to do like learn to juggle or knit or something silly

if she has a pet why not slip one present in for her true love? (the pet lol)

if there are any movies she really loves slip one of those in

    maybe a favourite tipple?

just given mself loads of ideas!!!! thanks i will be watching this one with interest
The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 5

What a fab idea. i wonder if i can rememebr this for my hubby's 40th in 10 yrs time. i doubt it, but then i have a fab ability to remember really odd and random things :rotfl:

i'd prob like a nice pair of earings, or a silver thumb ring, keyring with picture of the kids in ( at 50 maybe grandkids also ).
